Design Process
Understanding the Pillars
Katie Horowitz, the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement, Director of Residential Life needed to create logos for the four pillars of Res Life at UWB. The pillars were: connect, thrive, reflect, and achieve. She wanted these pillars to have icons that represent them and could be used on T-shirts, logos, and promo items.

I created icon variations of each pillar and sent them to Katie to review and give feedback on.
Updating the logo
Once I finalized the icon design with Katie, she requested to update the Res Life logo to include the pillars. She wanted the logo to include the thrive, connect, and reflect pillars, so I played around with the best way to include them and I came up with the design on the right.
